Pamono Antique Empire Desk in Mahogany Feather with Gilt Bronze Elements, France, Early 19th Century New

Antique French Empire desk in mahogany feather with finely chiseled gilt bronze appliqué. The top features leather upholstery with double chiseled edging with 24kt gold. The front is punctuated by five drawers embellished with expertly chiseled gilt bronze leaf motif vents. The side panels have the same layout as the front and incorporate desks on either side that are also covered in chiseled leather. The four feet have the classic column form with finely chiseled gilt bronze base and capital. The opposite face turns out to mirror the main one. The interiors turn out to be made of oak. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method. Provenance: 19th-century France. Measurements: 166×80 H75cm. Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
