Beautiful restored set of two walnut venneered nightstands or bedside table made in former Czechoslovakia during 40s.
Nightstands were completely stripped off original varnish by hand including inside. Dismantled, light repairs done, sanding of inside some light patina at spots, as seen on a picture one stand has stain spill at the bottom, it is black color that could not be removed. In any case it is not visible with glass atop. Stands were re-stained and coated with 5 layers of hard wax Osmo oil to semi-matte, inside out. All metal parts polished. 18 hours of work. Original opaxit glass were damaged and thus substituted with new Lacobel dark brown 4 mm thick glass. Please note that upper shelf is not 100% even, it also bears light typical odor. Large size with 62 cm of height, 39 cm depth, 52 cm width, space in between is 34 cm and 11 cm. Weight around 12 kg per piece. Blockboard frame.
