Pamono Benches attributed to Pier Luigi Colli, 1940s, Set of 2 Sale

A pair of Italian-designed stools, likely from the Art Deco or Midcentury period, dating to the 1940s or 1950s. They are attributed to Pier Luigi Colli, specifically the “Sgabelli” or “Sgabelli per toeletta” model.

The stools have a dark, curved wood frame, with a padded seat upholstered in green velvet, which shows signs of wear, as can be seen from the patina. The seat is rectangular with rounded corners for greater comfort and a softer aesthetic. Beneath the padding is a light-colored lacquered wooden support (probably cream or ivory), which connects to the base.

These stools are an excellent example of Italian craftsmanship and period design, combining formal elegance and sinuous lines.
