Particularly distinctive and striking is the walnut veneer, which is reflected in the overall appearance of the chest of drawers and extends over all 4 drawers and the secretary section. By folding out the first panel, the secretary section with its elegant 6 small drawers becomes accessible. The writing surface of the secretary has wonderful makettery/inlay – see photos. The 4 drawers of the writing chest of drawers run smoothly and can be locked with a key! Also particularly noteworthy are the original brass fittings – one has been replaced. The inside of the chest of drawers is sanded and smells great! This secretary is clean, stable and in a restored, hand-polished shellac condition.
