Magic Box desk, a magical cabinet that with one simple move unfolds into a fully equipped workspace. Around 1955 this remarkable piece was produced under license by Ateliers Genestar in Paris. The design by Swiss duo Mummenthaler and Meier from 1928 was originally intended as a mobile work desk for army officers. This version is the rarest and most luxurious execution in rosewood veneer, with an interior in mahogany and oak. Behind the closed doors of an apparently simple cabinet hides a complete workplace with pull-out desktop, adjustable shelves, drawers and even an integrated lamp.

Dimensions closed: 83 x 55 x 114 (h) cm, unfolded: 167 x 74 x 114 (h) cm. The condition of this Magic Box desk is very good, with light signs of use consistent with its age. The piece has been given a new wax layer which highlights the striking rosewood grain. All functions operate properly, including both locks with the original key. The integrated lighting has been checked by an electrician and is in goed condition.
