Pamono Modernist French Rosewood Sideboard by André Arbus, 1950s

Superb low buffet, sideboard in the late Art Deco modernist style, crafted from rosewood veneer with a pronounced and symmetrical flame, characteristic of high-end French design of the 1950s and 1960s.

The carefully graphically composed front features a play of symmetry and shimmering grain, typical of creations attributable to Jean Pascaud, Jules Leleu, and Maison Rinck.

The clean lines are subtly emphasized by geometric lines and slightly raised vertical uprights. The piece rests on an elegant black tapered base, finished with brass tips, which reinforce its airy, modernist profile.

The top, also in rosewood, features a central panel with natural black decoration (knot or inlay), framed by a contrasting line, adding a very contemporary graphic touch. This buffet combines the refinement of precious wood with architectural sobriety, emblematic of the furniture made to order for prestigious interiors of this period.

Composed of four doors with shelves and five integrated drawers, it offers generous storage space.

Very good overall condition. Glossy varnish finish. Slight signs of use consistent with age.
